Lega Pro Animale in southern Italy is first and foremost a clinic for neutering animals to reduce the number of strays, however it does also offer dog adoption. They require volunteers to take dogs to their new homes, donations, sponsors and people to adopt dogs.

"Lega Pro Animale is not a rehoming centre, as our main aim is to spay and neuter dogs and cats to reduce the stray population. However, we would like to introduce some animals that, for various reasons, have ended up in our care. These animals are looking for permanent loving homes. All animals at Lega Pro Animale are spayed and neutered, without exception."

What can you do to help? You might be able to offer:

1) A loving home for our rescue dogs

2) To act as an escort for dogs to their new homes

3) Donations of dog food

4) Help with walking and playing with the dogs

5) Dog behaviourist skills, to help overcome particular issues

6) Veterinary skills, to neuter dogs for free and/or provide other veterinary assistance

7) Vaccine donations

8) Help with meeting our veterinary bills
