Marmaris Animal Welfare

Marmaris Animal Welfare is a group of volunteers of various nationalities who help the stray dogs in Marmaris, Turkey. They need fundraisers, volunteers, donations, members and people to foster and adopt dogs.

"Our aims - Marmaris Municipality Dog Shelter was built in 2005, designed for 150 dogs. Today there are 250+ dogs there with more new arrivals daily. No dogs have been released for a year. There is a municipality vet who performs neutering operations but has no time for treating sick dogs. There are 3 municipality workers on a shift system whose duties are cleaning and feeding. Creating separate areas for weak/stressed dogs, mothers with puppies, orphaned puppies, a sick bay. Building more covered areas, kennels, feeding areas and fencing and continued maintenance thereafter. To be achieved through fundraising."
