Stray Dogs In Turkey

Stray Dogs In Turkey is an organisation operating in Koycegiz, Gokova, Akyaka, Dalyan and Dalaman. They need sponsors, donations of items and money and fundraisers.

They say: "We provide kenneling for street dogs, we need to neuter all our animals; we pay for veterinary bills and for feeding our animals. As you can probably imagine, running a rescue centre for stray animals is very expensive and as we are short of funds here in Turkey we ask people to donate either money or items that can help us. We cannot register a charity here because there isn't such a thing so the costs are met by me from my personal funds. We have successfully run a program whereby visitors to Turkey have sponsored a dogs care with us, they pay for the upkeep knowing they are making the pet happy without the problems they would have if they tried taking them back to UK."

What can you do to help? You might be able to offer:

1) A loving home for our rescue dogs

2) To act as an escort for dogs to their new homes

3) Donations of dog food

4) Help with walking and playing with the dogs

5) Dog behaviourist skills, to help overcome particular issues

6) Veterinary skills, to neuter dogs for free and/or provide other veterinary assistance

7) Vaccine donations

8) Help with meeting our veterinary bills
